Privacy policy

Last updated 2026-10-25

WordBlade is a word game made by Bold Games Studio Limited. This policy explains what the game and its server store, why, and how to delete it. The game has no ads, no analytics or tracking tools, and doesn't sell or share your data.

Playing without going online

Your campaign progress, coins, settings and reminders are saved on your phone. Reminders are scheduled on the phone itself. Nothing about this is sent anywhere unless you use the online features below.

Friend and guild alerts (Android, on unless you switch them off in Settings): while the game is closed, about every 30 minutes your phone asks our server whether anything new happened (friend requests, challenges, guild requests, invites and help). The request carries your account ID and sign-in key and the time of the last look; the server answers with short texts that your phone shows as one notification. Nothing else is sent, and no other company is involved (no Firebase or push service).

What the server stores when you play online

The game connects to our server for duels, friends, guilds, the inbox, word definitions, cloud saves, the Season Pass and the coin wallet. When it does, the server stores:

Your IP address is used while you're connected to limit abuse (too many connections or messages) and isn't stored with your account. Our hosting provider may keep it in short-lived server logs. When you send an account deletion request from our website, the address it came from is stored with the request.

Who can see it

Other players see your player name, title, nameplate, fighter, ranking and league (on the leaderboard, in duels, races, guilds and friends lists), and your friend code where they can send you a friend request. Your friends also see whether you're online and your Word Guess result for the day. Members of your guild see your guild points, your board messages and reactions, and your help requests; anyone can see a guild's name, crest, description and size. Nothing else is shown to other players.

When you look up a word's meaning, the server asks Wiktionary for it; only the word is sent, not who asked. Our server runs with a hosting provider that stores the data for us and doesn't use it for anything else.

How long it's kept

Your online account is kept until you delete it. Reports are kept while we look into them, and are deleted with either account. Daily server backups are kept for 7 days, so deleted data leaves them within a week.

Deleting your data

In the game: Settings → Delete online account. Without the app: request deletion here. Progress on your phone is removed when you uninstall the game or use Settings → Reset progress.

Children

WordBlade isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
